Description and/or Purpose The Northeast Iowa Shrine Club is a non-dues-paying club that any Shriner in Northeast Iowa is automatically a member. The purpose of the club is to promote fellowship among Shriners in the area and to meet with each other once a month to talk about various ways to raise money to give to the temple at the end of the year in The Walk of Smiles for the Shrine Hospitals.
Meetings Meetings are held on the Third Wednesday of every month at different restaurants in the area at 7:00 PM. Location of meetings are announced a month ahead of time.
Activities & Events We usually have a Golf Outing every July in Clermont Iowa, and use the proceeds for the Walk of Smiles contribution. We also have a bus trip every other year to one of the surrounding Shrine Hospitals, usually in late September or October.
