Chris Lauderdale – High Priest & Prophet

Chris Lauderdale was born and raised in the Cedar Rapids area, and still lives here with his wife, Mindy, and their 3 children Kimberly age 18, Dalton age 16, and Grace age 9.  Chris is a member of Trojan Lodge, and the Linn County Sheriff Office’s Reserve Unit.

Chris was employed as an electrician in the Cedar Rapids area for just shy of 20 years before leaving he electrical trade to become an electrical inspector for the city of Hiawatha.  Chris retains close ties to, and is on friendly terms with, the staff and leadership of the City of Hiawatha, and has been an ambassador for El Kahir when needed.  During his time as an electrician with IBEW Local 405, Chris served as a trustee and president of the Iowa City Chapter.  He is now employed as an electrical inspector with the City of Cedar Rapids.

Chris has deep roots in his community and believes strongly in community involvement.  Chris served six years as a youth wrestling coach for elementary and middle school feeder teams.  For the last four years, Chris has volunteered a considerable amount of his time with the Linn County Sheriff’s Office as a reserve deputy sheriff.  Due to his strong leadership skills, cool head and ability to communicate with and organize his fellow deputies, he was promoted and is now a Lieutenant with the reserve unit.

Chris’ Masonic and Shrine journey began while he was employed with the City of Hiawatha.  As the plan review and construction process for the new temple started, Chris was exposed to many great men, who began to peak his interest in the Masonic fraternity. These relationships led to Chris became a member of Kingston lodge, which has since consolidated with Trojan Lodge, located at the temple.

A proud Shriner, Chris is an active member of the Revvin’ Fezzes and remains active in his blue lodge.  He and his family are frequently seen at Temple functions.  It is his desire to promote brotherhood, inspire new membership, raise funds necessary to keep the temple functioning, and see the temple succeed in all aspects.
